Skypass Pty Ltd trading as Tom Price and Sons (TPS) conduct Intermediate Rigging Courses and Training

INTERMEDIATE

OBJECTIVE:
The course and training is designed for participants to gain the necessary skills to plan, prepare and complete intermediate rigging work as prescribed by the "National Occupational Health and Safety Certificate Standards for Uses and Operators of Industrial Equipment".


WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Individuals who wish to be assessed for a WorkSafe "National Certificate of Competency" and / or a statement of attainment in:
and wish to work as a rigger in a variety of industries and situations.

ESTIMATED DURATION: 3 Days

EXPECTED MODES OF DELIVERY: This course is delivered face to face by our qualified Trainers/Assessors. Training can be conducted at our Training facility or we can come to your business/Mine site. This course is skill based and will cover all aspects of the machinery being trained in both written using course notes/dvd’s and case studies combined with practical components. RPL is also available upon request. Please speak to our admin team to see if you qualify.

PRE REQUISITES:
Necessary minimum age of 18 years. Ability to speak and write English to a basic level. Hold a Basic Rigging Certificate or possess the ability to successfully complete assessment requirements for a Basic Rigging Certificate.


RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING:
Systems are in place for recognition of prior training and experience. Telephone to confirm eligibility.

COURSE CONTENT:
At the end of the course participants will be able to:
-Perform task requirement for basic riggers.
-Carry out a dual lift.
-Erect a tilt-slab.
-Demolish structures.
-Work safely at heights.

ASSESSMENT:
Assessments will be conducted during and at the end of the course. A 60-day interim certificate will be issued to persons assessed as being competent. Worksafe W.A. will issue a National Certificate of Competency on receipt of the 60-Day Certificate.
